For over 20 years, John Brooking has been creating unique, eye-catching and imaginative designs for theatre companies, theme parks and marketing organisations throughout the UK.

As a theatre designer I can design all your needs for sets, costumes and props, providing you with scale drawings, models, and costume designs.

I can offer a full design service including drawings and prototypes and completed projects for costumes and small props.

In our Cheadle workshop we are able to create both large and small costumes and the only limitation is the size of our door! We use a variety of fabrics; foam, plastics, silks and many others and offer advice on maintenance and cleaning of costumes we produce.

Small props can be made and we have produced everything from a sword to a fully armoured horse (Don Giovanni – Royal Northern College of Music).


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As part of the creative process, we:

  • Establish common goals with the set designer
  • Create concept work and mock-up designs
  • Undertake cultural and historical research to ensure accuracy
